Brief biography

Researcher from the Water and Biodiversity Unit of the Natural Resources Division at ECLAC, where he contributes to the analysis and design of policies aimed at promoting a sustainable energy transition in Latin America and the Caribbean. He has participated in the development of innovative tools and studies, including the “Methane Calculator,” an instrument to estimate the energy and economic potential of biogas in wastewater treatment plants. This methodology promotes a circular model that enhances efficiency and resource utilization in urban contexts, including smaller-scale settings. He is also part of multidisciplinary teams that have produced important ECLAC reports and publications.
