Carlos Maldonado
Brief biography
PhD in Political Science and a Master’s in Sociology and Public Policy from the Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris – Sciences Po. Holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from El Colegio de México. Social Affairs Officer in the Social Development Division of ECLAC. Works on issues related to social inequality, social protection systems, and their institutional frameworks. Among his works and publications, he is currently coordinating the ECLAC-AECID knowledge project “Social Cohesion Policies for Inclusive Social Development” and the report “Social Panorama of Latin America and the Caribbean.” From 2002 to 2005 he served as Director of Institutional Foresight and Deputy Director of International Cooperation at Mexico’s Ministry of Social Development (SEDESOL).
