Rayén Quiroga
Brief biography
Economist, M.A., specialist in sustainable development and natural resources and their metrics. She currently serves as Chief of the Water and Biodiversity Unit in the Natural Resources Division of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) of the United Nations, based in Santiago, Chile. She has worked with the UN since 2000, and previously was an academic and Director of the School of Economics at the Universidad Bolivariana, as well as a professor at INTEC University, also participating in various postgraduate programs at universities in the region. She has published extensively, both articles and books, on the relationship between economics, nature, and sustainable development from a Latin American perspective.
